Tone
Clarinet playing is very near singing.
Imagine that you are singing and form inside your mouth like you you should say a A or a O.
It´s calling that you are opening up.
When you are practicing long notes you can stand by a window a imaging you are playing for someone far away. Use this method even when you are practicing your pieces.
Practicing long notes increase your chin muscles and improve your tone control, it can be meditative, too.
